Repurpose a webinar into a demo, a carousel and a Q&A post
Use the demonstration, checklist and answered question for different posts. Keep the source timestamp beside each draft while you prepare it.
To repurpose a webinar for social media, choose three sections with different jobs: a demonstration someone can follow, a checklist they can keep and a question with a complete answer. You do not need to summarize the whole recording in every post.
Work from a replay you can publish, the original slides and any notes needed to understand the examples. If you only have a promotional page, it cannot establish what was actually said in the session.
Make a small source map
Use this illustrative worksheet before writing. Replace the placeholder times with timestamps from your recording.
| Source section | Social output | What to preserve |
|---|---|---|
| A demonstration at your recorded timestamp | A short clip | The starting condition and completed action |
| A practical checklist on a slide | A carousel | The order and conditions of each step |
| A question from the session | A text or video answer | The relevant qualification and speaker’s meaning |
Keep the source timestamp, current claim and proposed destination beside each idea. This makes it easier to check the final draft against the recording.
Turn the checklist into instructions
Remove introductions and event administration from the checklist post. Give each slide one action with enough context to use it. Do not turn a conditional recommendation into a universal rule because the caveat is inconvenient to fit.
The carousel guide helps order the steps. If a slide cites a tool or price that has changed, verify it before reusing the claim.
Export a demonstration that still works alone
Cut the relevant segment in your editing tool, retaining the starting state and the outcome. Check that the interface, diagram and spoken explanation survive the chosen crop.
Use the podcast clip checklist for captions and context. Exporting a video is a separate task from drafting the post that accompanies it.
Treat audience questions carefully
Use the question’s useful substance without exposing an attendee’s personal details or private example. Confirm permissions for speakers and any third-party media. Paraphrase when an exact question is unnecessary, and preserve the answer’s meaning.
Remove event-only references such as “as you saw earlier” unless the missing context is included. Check whether the replay is still available before pointing readers to it.
Prepare distinct posts and a usable replay route
In Blitz Planner, add the approved clip, carousel or text as separate posts, select the connected accounts and schedule the ready versions. Copilot can help draft from supplied notes; this does not assume automatic replay ingestion, transcription or highlight cutting.
Give each version its own reason to visit the replay. Check the destination and any access requirement. Start with the one demonstration that remains understandable on its own, then prepare the other two outputs from their actual sources.
