Hair salon social posts: explain one service before booking
Show what the appointment involves, not only the final photo. A small series can answer the questions a client needs to ask before booking.
Hair salon social posts can help someone understand a service before booking it. Instead of posting only a finished hairstyle, build a short series around the consultation, the process and the information a client needs to bring.
Choose one service you currently offer. Use your own description and approved photos, and leave personal suitability questions for the appointment.
Start with three booking questions
Ask what a client needs to know before choosing the service: what the appointment includes, what you discuss beforehand and how to book the correct option. These are different posts, even when they use photos from the same session.
For an illustrative colour service, the series might be:
- A carousel explaining the consultation and the information to bring.
- A short video showing a real step of the service, with its purpose.
- A result photo that describes the work performed and how to request a consultation.
Do not present one person’s result as a guaranteed outcome for everyone. Write only the service details your team has confirmed.
Make before-and-after images comparable
Use a similar angle and lighting where possible. Explain relevant styling differences rather than implying that every visible change comes from the advertised service. Avoid retouching that changes the feature you are trying to show.
Get the client’s agreement for the specific material you publish. If you cannot use a recognizable person, show tools, the setup or a staff demonstration with permission instead. A generated result should not appear as a real client outcome.
Explain the process in readable steps
A useful carousel answers one question per slide. Keep terms understandable and explain what happens at the appointment without turning the post into personal advice.
The carousel guide helps arrange the sequence. For a video, show the relevant step long enough to understand it rather than relying on the caption to explain an unreadable clip.
Give the booking action a precise destination
Tell the reader which service or consultation to choose on your existing booking page. Test that route from the social account. If duration or price varies, describe what needs confirmation instead of inventing a universal figure.
In Blitz Planner, save each approved caption and media file as a post, select the salon’s connected account and schedule the finished series. Booking and client records remain in your existing system.
Keep the series current
Check the service name, booking link and availability before scheduling. Remove outdated appointment information from future posts if the offer changes.
Use content batching for your approved recording session. Start with the consultation post: it is often the missing context between an attractive photo and choosing the right appointment.
